Artist Comment: A growing feeling that the young were out of control and needed a lesson in respect resulted in the Traditional Values Party sweeping to power at the general election.
The new government's first act was to require all adults aged 18-24 attend one day a week at a Humility Education Centre, where they would be shackled naked to give them the opportunity to reflect on their behaviour and learn their place. This would also give the police the opportunity to inspect their bodies for signs of drug use, assisting the government's crack down on narcotics.
The public were given free access to the Centres, to reassure everyone that this government really carried out it promises, thus strengthening confidence in the political process after decades of decline.
Soon, the crime rate was falling rapidly for drugs, hooliganism and other public disorder offences. The elderly reported receiving more respect from the young, and everyone felt safer walking the streets. Obesity levels fell, as more young people dieted knowing they would have to appear naked in public regularly.
Seeing all the benefits emerge, other countries began to adopt the policy.
