Eliza, a lady's maid, along with her mistress Lady Rutland and Lady Sarah, had been captured by pirates and sold to Madame Camille who operated two brothels in the pirate haven of Port de Paix. Lady Rutland and Lady Sarah were put to work in Madame Camille's exclusive bordello in the old town that catered for wealthy merchants and ships' captains. Eliza was sent to the downmarket brothel in a tavern next to the docks. The tavern brothel was run by Madame Eloise and Mademoiselle Elaine, who treated Eliza and the other girls badly. Once a week Madame Camille came to the tavern to collect the takings, and while there would visit Eliza's room and subjected her to depraved practices.

A few weeks later, word of the kidnapping of the three women reached the Bahamas, where Lady Rutland's husband was Governor. Lord Rutland was not sorry to lose his nagging wife, and he had always considered Lady Sarah to be a monstrous snob. However, Eliza had been a favourite of Lord Rutland, and his lordship and the maid had enjoyed many a happy and fun-filled roll in the hay in the barn behind Rutland House.
Immediately, a company of Redcoats were despatched from Nassau on a Royal Navy man-o'-war to Port de Paix. The docks tavern was stormed and all the working girls freed. Eliza was taken back to the Bahamas with Madame Camille, Eloise and Elaine now her prisoners. On the voyage back to the Bahamas, Eliza thanked the brave officers who rescued her by allowing them to have their fun with her three captives.
The sale of her former-tormentors to a bordello in Nassau provided the funds to set Eliza up as a society lady in a luxurious house befitting of the mistress of the Governor of a Crown Colony.
