^ (this is a very flimsy summary) So there was this guy named Edwin who made an animatronic (THE MIMIIIIC) for his son David. The animatronic mimicked David and was programmed to be David’s friend. He died in a car crash so Edwin beat up that animatronic, so the animatronic mimics/uses that violence in its present day murder spree.
