Looking at me. "Seeing" is a more passive verb, which denotes less or no effort on the part of the subject to "see" the object. Example, compare these two sentences: "I saw a swan today at the park" and "I looked at a swan today in the park." The first implies that you were at the park and you just happened to see it, while in the second you were actively watching swan.
Therefore, you should use "the platoon can't stop looking at me." As in they actively seek you out, rather than you just somehow being impossible to avoid seeing.
