Fun fact: Roger Craig Smith has tried and succeeded in impersonating Ryan Drummond and Jason Griffith's Sonic voice at interviews, conventions, etc., and there's unused voice lines in Sonic Free Riders where Roger was trying to sound like Ryan in an official capacity.

Furthermore, it appears that Sonic's gameplay voice lines in Sonic Colors impersonates Jason Griffith's Sonic, so this was probably before he was told to sound older by the voice directors for the Sonic Colors cutscenes and future games in general.
