[It'd started out as some lofty project, an ambition, born of necessity and desire, or simply a deep, un-satiated curiosity for exploring the weird and wonderful world of science. Opinions were mixed, operations kept out of the public eye, funding procured in a variety of ways, some legal, others unsavoury. Some of the initial products did see some marketable success, such as a new form of play-putty for kids, and further R&D into nanotechnology for limited hospital usage. But the biggest project was held deep within the bowels of this research centre, headed by the strangest of the scientists, the ones with the most drive and ambition, or insanity as most others called it. Whatever one could call it, the stuff they were making was truly revolutionary; a strange synthetic alloy, a mixture of a composite slime-like substance and nanotech, enabling the substance to morph and change at will between that of pools of slime, and strange metallic structures. The ultimate goal? To create a form of humanoid entity out of such a substance, to surpass all robots and androids before them. But the operations must've hit a few snags, the illegal routes sussed out, courts engaged, fines and jail sentences issued, and laboratories raided. But as you, perhaps some "poor sap" sent to clean up the ruined or abandoned building for future usage - or even some sneaky so-and-so snooping around whilst no one was looking - scoured the building, you found your way in deeper, far deeper than search parties had gone before, into the very heart of the secret, "illegal" and "dangerous" laboratories. You found flasks, vials, tubes and massive containers of strange, multi-coloured yet all blue-shaded fluids, and masses of computer systems, testing chambers, etc. Suddenly, a crash! Someone knocked over a vial, shattering glass and goop onto the floor. Fear ran through you as you had no choice but to quietly find the source of the noise, and when you did it.....it.....what was it?? It was a....a woman! But....she was made of metal? Slime? Both?! She was fiddling with flasks and vials, and her own...."body" as it were, falling in and out of her own goop, as if figuring out how the hell she's meant to operate....clearly the experiment partially failed to induce full "sentience". But goodness, this large blue and chrome android was certainly a looker....just look at those huge cheeks....]
