Yorihime is absolutely coping, as the amount of peaches either have to consume is already high, and Toyo's amount would be so astronomical that it's simply not feasible method to get a huge ass.
This argument is built on a few shaky assumptions from Touhou's lore and clues from the image, such as:
That I actually understand how diets work and that you gain weight via calories alone. Based on the image that lunarians can gain (and therefore lose) weight from eating food. That they only have peaches to eat as food (Lunarians are similar to hermits, and powerful hermits can sustain themselves only on mist. But let's go with the fact they have only peaches to eat, as there is Tenshi; a celestial - a high tier hermit saying it's all they had to eat as celestials). I'm going with this since lunarians are against killing which rules out animals and plans that have to die to be consumed and leaving them on a fruit/peach only diet. Any caloric intake they need has to come from food alone, and is similar to the of a human woman's, so around ~2000 calories a day. Peaches are a low-calorie food with an average medium-sized peach weighing ~0.15 kilos/ ~0.33 pounds at around ~50 calories per a peach that size.
Now the math (which I hope checks out).
First let's calculated how many peaches either would have to eat to just meet what they need daily: 2000 calories / 50 calories per peach = meaning 40 peaches a day. Which sounds already quite bad, right?
One thing to consider is that the average person eats around ~2 kilograms / ~4,5 pounds of food daily, with the higher end being at around ~4 kilograms / ~9 pounds daily. So let's calculate how many kilos/pounds of peaches either have to eat a day.
40 peaches x 0.15 kilograms/ 0.33 lb = 6 kilograms / 13.2 lb of peaches. Which I find to be quite insane to begin with, but for Toyo to even GAIN weight (more then Yorihime at least) we'd need to add even more!
For slow weight gain you'd need around 300-500 calories more then the norm for slow weight gain, and 700-1000 calories more then the norm for fast weight gain. I'll do both and let you decide for yourself which she falls under.
I'll calculate how many peaches I need for each 100 calories and simply use that to find out the rest. For 100 calories from peaches you'd need to eat 2 peaches which is 0.3 kilograms/ 0.66 pounds. Low end: 300 calories = 6 peaches, 0.9 kilograms/ ~2 pounds. 500 calories = 10 peaches, 1.5 kilograms / 3.3 pounds. Hind end: 700 calories = 14 peaches, 2.1 kilograms / 4.62 pounds. 1000 calories = 20 peaches, 3 kilograms / 6.6 pounds. So Toyo in total would need to eat on the low end: 46-50 peaches, 6.9 kilograms / ~15.2 pounds - 7.5 kilograms / 16.5 pounds. On the high end: 54-60 peaches 8.1 kilograms / 17.8 pounds - 9 kilograms / ~19.8 pounds. In short? Yorihime would have to be a gobbler of peaches on such a scale that it's sickening or I'm just reading too much into this lol. Either way, Yorihime is absolutely jealous, or as they said "that's cap".
