I really need to write a story about an alien race of humanoid mammoths. They'd be stockier though, with more mammoth-like legs and toes, maybe just 3 fingered hands, thicker trunks, and maybe swap out the tusks for curled horns. I want them to be predators and total badasses. An extra set of arms, and maybe small clasper-type appendages around the hips on the males to aid in mating? Maybe brightly-colored patterns inside the ears that could be used as a threat display/mating display. Hmmm...so many possibilities.
