I'll admit, I took a few liberties in the translation. Consulted a video of the in-game scene to match the official English wording more closely, added Link's name for context and to draw attention to the fact that she uses the same honorific for Tauro in Japanese, and I slightly moved the first ellipsis and emphasized some words in the third bubble of my own accord. Also, if Google Translate is to be believed, the sfx above Paya's left shoulder is also commonly used for the act of pickpocketing. So there's that.

that's how localization works, you're not supposed to do direct 1:1 translation, it's supposed to be the main idea of the sentence into the translated language. good job

Who ever said we have to be with the princess? There's no ring on her finger. She's given an opportunity to gush about him to her relatives and she never calls him her boyfriend, or her beloved, or even her partner. The writers deliberately leave it ambiguous whether Link and Zelda are romantic or platonic, and my Link is absolutely as down bad for Paya as Paya is for him.
