Yeezus? Blasphemy. A solid album no doubt, but no album conveys Kanye on an emotional plane better than 808s and Heartbreak, not to mention the sound evolution the album birthed. The use of the TR-808 drum machine revolutionized the soundOf hip-hop and the genres which would be created in the larger music space, such as melodic rap, Emo rap, just to name a few. Kanyes work here brought a sheen of pop into his works, incorporating the efforts that he put into the entirety of the trilogy, emphasizing his work in the former album and the finale to his holy trinity,Graduation (2007;Roc-a-fella recordings, inc). Kanye soulfully using these new, retrofuturist sounds to weave his past and present then struggles, and the lament of love past, having ended his relationship with his Fianc Alexis Phifer in the wake of his mothers unfortunate passing following a botched plastic surgery. Kanye is in his element like no other time at the behest of all of the loss and destruction in his life at the time. It is by far his most personal and relatable albums on these basis, overtopping the overarching themes of the sonically deaf, lost and reckless, but passionate Yeezus (2013;Def Jam Recordings).
I respect your opinion however, MBDTF is the best Kanye album of all time. Without a shadow of a doubt. 808s and Heartbreak is a close second though. Runaway is the best Kanye Song, nay, the best song of the 2010s
@ye_west for me it's gotta be 808 & heartbreaking because love lockdown and heartless remind me of my elementary days while paranoid reminds me the times when I used to hang out with my friends alot before covid hit
