realistically, it would be quite impractical to have disconnected limbs as prosthetics. although the delay may seem minimal, it will definitely be noticable if the user sends a brain signal and the prosthetic doesnt respond immediately. furthermore, the legs would not be able to hold up the user, which is the main evolutionary function of limbs. the levitation mechanism for this also may malfunction, leaving the user unable to use that prosthetic
