There are very few people who would actually do this in a sexual/intimate context irl and... Well I have chatted with someone who genuinely wanted someone to slit her throat (like straight up just cut it irl, she was actually setting up dates with ppl irl and meeting up with people but all chickened out) but that was one case and I'm not sure she was quite right in the head. Basically... yeah it's kinda fucked up but if it's between making porn of it or doing it to yourself irl I think we know which one is objectively better
Honestly I've cut a lot in the past and sometimes get very uncomfortable with my body because of it, and afraid people won't find me attractive because of the scars. Fetishizing the action and the scars themselves is sorta a way of reassuring myself that it's not something that makes me ugly and undesirable. Going too far with that line of thought could lead to doing it more maybe but we can have a little bit of fetishizing as a treat!
Actually fetishizing and obsessing over self harm and how hot it is IS a red flag, mainly if you've never done it yourself. I enjoy looking at guro and self harm porn as comfort. I've cut before, I've self harmed and I agree with sub girl. And QT to extents. I have many scars and these posts make me realize that I'm not ugly. And looking at or making porn like this is much better than doing it yourself in real life. It's completely valid to be upset seeing it on a site full of porn. Especially when you have a rough past with such a topic. But it is also normal to want to see it as a way to cope with trauma. I know that's the case for me. The artist likely deals with it themselves, as it's a reoccurring theme.
