I do enjoy the show, but I do wish it were an 'official' Dungeons and Dragons connected product.Because they have to step around copyright issues, that means we will never see mention of stuff 'Iconic' to the game, like the names of various spells, and some monsters."Scanlan's Hand" is obviouslly a variation of the 'Bigby's Hand" spells, and we will never see monsters like Illithids or Beholders (maybe a Dark Elf, as long as they don't call it a Drow or refer to Lolth, I guess)

chup@cabra *pushes up glasses* your joking right? in their first campaign they fought an entire city of Illithids after killing a Beholder who had highjacked their elder brain. they call it Scanlan's Hand because it them being funny. its been called Bigby's hand

You do understand theyre stillplaying D&D, right? Of course they can use those things, theyre monsters in the rulebooks. Itd be insane for WOTC to prevent streamers from literally using basic set content, every single D&D youtuber/streamer does those things
