Well canon is actually one sided. Krieg is in love with Maya,Maya though... was confirmed Asexual so she doesn't really care about any intimacy at all, sadly.

Well someone claimed out of game she is asexual but i think they meant asexual AND aromantic (so i've heared) but in game she kinda hints at it. In the Wedding DLC maya is pretty dismissive of it all and during the ceremony she has a voiceline that says something akin to "Romance? I have not the slightest clue about Romance."
You guys.... literally Anthony Burch himself, the writer of TPS and Borderlands 2, *LEAD WRITER* I might add, confirmed himself that Maya is asexual. Probably the most obvious part about it is in the lobster DLC when she has her bit with Tannis. Tannis admits to some kind of weird crush on her but Maya is just as oblivious about as Tannis is confused. It's quite charming. However the others are correct, asexuals can still have romantic feelings. Some of them ALSO are not even 'sex repulsed' they simply don't feel sexual ATTRACTION the same way most people do. I totally headcanon Maya as both asexual and interested in having fun with Krieg purely because she's horny, not necessarily because she finds him 'hot'.
