Fun(?) fact: in Shinto, the tradition of divine prostitution was practiced by mikos at their shrines. This practice was slowly phased out however as Christian moralism became more present in Japan. So, this might be canon.

^ Jesus as a Touhou character is my favorite Christian-anime theory. Right up there with the theory that the Pillar Men went into hiding during the Roman empire because Jesus kicked their asses but showed mercy.
