@8906834 I respect that he needs to deal with some personal shit. Its the timing that really annoys people. Call it entitled, but almost 2 years of checking his twitter almost every day is hard to just shrug off. Especially when you combine that with the fact that he started putting out updates and said he was dedicating himself completely to it. He just posted an update like 2 weeks ago. Everyone was expecting this to be his magnum opus, his defining work. Many even supported him financially throughout that time. He needs to deal with some serious shit and step away? Then let him step away and then once hes handled it, finish Part 3. After that, by all means. Itd be a great way to end things. He said that this has been a long time coming so its hard to believe that something so extreme to force him out is responsible, but even if thats the case I think people have the right to get at least a little more explanation than just personal reasons, most of all his patrons.

i think theres something going on and more to it. He announced it for 2021, did a lot of random works while putting it off, delays it, finally starts posting updates, then posts his retirement on twitter saying it was a "long time coming". makes no sense to choose to retire by a certain date yet post updates as if youre going to finish it, then pull the rug out from under everyone, unless youre a douche or something weird happened. Maybe he felt pressured and that it wouldnt live up to the hype after all this time. Who knows. would have preferred if he made an honest upfront statement if that was the case.
