Critical hits are useful for dealing more damage to mobs in minecraft. As you can see, Steve here is demonstrating what NOT to do in this situation. To hit a critical shot, the player must be in a state of falling and attacking a mob at the same time. Critical hits increase your damage by 150% and are useful in most scenarios but can only be performed with: Axes, Swords, and/or Tridents. (Bows can also hit critical shots but they have a 25% chance of doing them.)Youll know when youve hit a critical shot if stars appear below the mob. Crits dont work on Ladders nor Vines, not in water, and (only in Java) you cannot be running. Hopefully you (and Steve) have learned how to hit critical hits.
