You can save the videos from the alternate tab after clicking the download button.

Hit 3 dots on bottom right when hovering over video, click download.

Right click video, hit "save as"

Right click video, hit "open in new tab" from there, you can do either of the above options as well.

Also, "the good old days" you mean when we had shitty low quality gifs in place of webm? You know, those files that were much larger and couldn't even have sound?

Or if you're on Firefox;
Right click outside of the video> View Page Info> Go to Media>
Scroll down until you see the video (look at type)> Click on it and hit "Save As" and choose where you wanna save it.

I agree. I do miss the old version. Was easier to download.
