I feel like I have to point out I read about Space from i was 7 to 14....And that taught me that staying in space in that outfit that Weiss is would be a Schneeriously bad idea.

I like how they gave her a helmet - because ya can't breathe in space, duh - but then went full regard and ignored the rest. Like, pick one: Completely defy logic or go for realism. Half-assing it just looks dumb.

That said, extra points for the shattered moon though.

Well actually going into space is completely impossible in the RWBY universe. They can create rockets but the fuel (being dust) loses power after it reaches the atmosphere.
1
