Yes it is common for redheads to have them... in real life. Misty is an exception as she isn't real. she is meant to be a physical "ideal" and she was not portrayed to have them in the original media that she originated from. It's not unheard of for drawn characters to have moles and freckles, so it wouldn't be out of the question for her to be portrayed to have them if she were meant to have them by the person who created her. Giving them to her when there is no evidence she even has them in the first place is no better than just getting a cosplayer to dress up as her. This isn't Misty, it's someone dressed up to look similar to her. Moles and freckles are part of a person's identity, just as NOT having them is also a part of a person's identity. Giving them to a character that doesn't have them is the same as creating an original character.
@#915540Artist always create their own interpretation and use different styles. This style is quite different from the original and is, while still being stylized, far more realistic.Also pretty much everyone has "moles and blemishes" not just redheads.
