Nono, it's xenophobic! Dislike of a foreign culture, not based on ethnic grounds.

Its not xenophobic. Phobic comes from Latin -phobia and directly from Greek -phobia "panic fear of," from phobos "fear"

The origin of "xeno-" is from the Late Latin, from Greek, from "xenos" meaning stranger, guest, or host. Xeno- and xen- are variant forms of the same prefix.

Dislike of a cultural aspect can be a symptom of xenophobia but is not a general equal. one can like or dislike certain parts of others cultures without putting a fear of the culture itself behind it.

I like japan but i sometimes find their focus on honor in certain aspects troubling.

The tradition of breaking female feet was also disturbing.

No xenophobia involved.

Educate yourself.

Thanks, Wiki.

Also, foot-binding is a Chinese practice (discouraged by the Japanese occupying forces in the '30s in fact), and 'Japan' starts with a capital letter as it's a proper noun. Isn't pointlessly correcting other random folk on the internet fun?

Its not pointless if it shuts down another stupid argument that spams the comment section.

But thanks. English grammar is just weird and i still have tremendous problems with the capital letter stuff..

Also thank you for correcting me on foot-binding. I knew i screwed something up there but already send it.

Thanks!

Even if in doing so it spams the comment section?

That aside, you're welcome.
