I think he means her face looks a bit deformed from the original character's and in a way, it is, but I don't think it'd be actually considered bad, it's just different but still nice looking. But each to their own as they say.

No, the face isn't "deformed". Deformation means that something isn't in the right place, or there's a mutation of sorts. This is not the case. It's simply the art style being used, her expression, and the angle in which we see her face, that makes people skeptical of it. But, aside from those factors, there is absolutely nothing wrong with her beautiful face.

This picture is amazing, and I do love the art style.

Yup, her face ruins the pic. It seems flat and deformed as if she was hit with a shovel and due to shading her nose seems to be a feline nose. But her body and overall effects are great.
