R34-Con

I'm curious, if there was an official R34 convention for this site, who would attend? It wouldn't necessarily just be a huge orgy, and I do think there could be fun events and it would he an interesting way to meet in a safe environment.

It's totally hypothetical obviously, and the sheer logistics of it are mind boggling, but would you go if it were a real thing?

What events would you like to see? Maybe a QA panel with a well known user, or a cum drinking contest?

Private rentable fuck huts for those choice meet ups where the sparks really fly?

It's not a real event, it isn't going to be a real event. Legality and logistics don't need to be further hashed out.

Being that I'm in the business field this would actually be a decent idea, but of course you'd need a place that would be willing to rent out the space.

I'm sure events that would be included:
1.) Hentai, Manga, & Anime series products being purchasable
2.) Actual rooms for watching some series with other people (masturbating may be imminent in these rooms)
3.) The fuck rooms you were talking about if people so choose.
4.) Q&A with users or even groups made by users
5.) Competition for lewdest cosplays
6.) Special limited edition merchandise solely produced for the convention as reminders
7.) Rooms for RPing (not all sexual ones, but others can sit and watch these rps take place)
8.) Perhaps if the artist of many of these pictures from the site came by you could speak with them, get autographs, or they can provide events on drawing or how they do things with being an artist as part of their life.
9.) Get together session with people who are into the same thing and can chit chat about it with other like minded people.

It would be an unusual event, but I don't see it being impossible.

I'm sure there's a lot of legal stuff you'd have to go through before this was even allowed to happen. Like I said it isn't impossible, but there's going to be a lot of paper work... a lot... too much actually. So I'm sure not everything would be allowed. But as Overlord said it's a mind boggling thing to think about.

Pretty sure all of that stuff is legal in Las Vegas, Nevada. That's just the US branch of R34, there are other cities where this would be legal in other countries, too.

The only thing I was thinking would be a bit of a legal issue would be the fucking part, but if it's all okay then we got an event on our hands. :D

Assuming this was managed perfectly and legally, I still think there's a lot of potential to go wrong with attracting people that actively go out of their way to be creeps.

Though, especially by porn site standards let alone the internet in general this place is good at filtering filth out so I'd assume similar standards would be in place at the con. Don't think I'd go either way, but I'd hope security does their job with flying colors.

Since prostitution is legal there, I imagine the fucking is cool. Hell, they have tax paying brothels in Vegas so as long as the entry forms have a waiver saying that all participants may/will see sexual acts performed on the premises, and they consent to the viewing of those acts, we're golden.

Security would have to be in high form. Like... rape is still illegal regardless, so there would need to be some way to regulate dub-con vs. non-con stuff in the hallways.

Can we all just agree to not actually rape each other at the (still fictional) con?

Also, I say that ontop of the entry fee, you should be required to sign into your account to have your personalized badge with your username printed on it.

@Overlord_Kujo I could agree with this as well. ^^^

Nobody under the age of 18... though I'm sure there's people here under that age unfortunately I would find more legal regulations with that in mind. Also in the aspect that:

1.) Background checks to people that attend.
2.) You're checked going in and out.
3.) Phone usage is highly regulated in the sense of photography of any sort, pictures during events, or even videos are not allowed. Since this is more of inappropriate event you wouldn't be able to really show much on social media.

Honestly... with the amount of sexual harassment that already goes on at some conventions, I couldn't see this starting and stay running for more than a day.

But... if you wanted to do this you wouldn't be able to have the fuck rooms up. People would assume that pretty much means prostitution and that's illegal. The same could be said for sexual rp, because to an outsider that sounds like prostitution, especially if it's a "behind closed doors" sort of thing.

Though things like having paid special guests could work in our favor, especially if they're from the community. The payment is an incentive to actually show up. The Q&As could work if you had people with an actual presence in the porn art community or even if you talked to the internet voice actors who voice act in porn. Again, most of these would be paid appearances, but that's what half of the con costs go to anyway.

If you actually want to go forward with this then I don't mind helping with some of the planning and management. Just not during the coming winter, I'll have to write three different documentaries, a short film, and edit another short film over the course of 5 months.

Prostitution is legal in a few places. Las Vegas is one place and it is an international hub for airline traffic.

Fetish cons are a regularly occurring thing, so there'd be little to no problem getting this off the ground if people wanted to.

Those panels are almost always listed on the convention's schedule, whatever form that my take, as a paper printout or on the Guidebook app or whatever.
