He's just so chill and wholesome.
He doesn't let his fame get to his head, either.
When he is approached by fans or interviewers in public, he sometimes invites them to sit and eat with him and just have a nice conversation. That is incredibly wholesome from the point of view of any human being, especially someone this famous.

Basically, this. I'm not sure if this a true story, but one time a woman broke into his home and instead of freaking out he made both of them breakfast and then called the police. In the meantime he just sat and chatted with her in his living room until they arrived to escort her out.

Don't know much about him behind closed doors but the stories I've read he at least tries to keep a level head in this crazy ass world. I've always envied genuinely chilled people he doesn't do interviews and I respect that as a lot of the time you got cocksuckers waiting to "expose" people rather than actually wanting to talk to them.

I ran into him once where I live.

I was walking up the block, waiting for the light to turn so I could cross the intersection and there he was waiting as well.

I was partially stoned and had my sunglasses on and he looked at me and said, “nice sunglasses and beard” to which I said “thanks, nice hair” (he does actually have nice hair)

We sat there waiting for the light to turn for what almost felt like forever and then went out separate ways.

I saw Keanu Reeves at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
