Cartoon childhood crush?
Have you for some reason liked a character more than you thought long back when you were young. If so, who was yours?

Mine's Wuya from Xiaolin Showdown

Despite tdi’s weird art i always found her design absolutely gorgeous, it’s kind of like a weird mix between gothic and library bookworm lol. I also loved her chill attitude, her voice and the fact she talks to animals. She’s a really strange character but strange in an attractive way, the kind of strange you wanna delve into and explore out of curiosity. Man at a point i was totally obsessed with her and that even if she didn’t even last that long before getting eliminated iirc.

I liked several anime girls when I was young, but it wasn't until Sakura Haruno in my early teens did I fall in love with one. Still to this day. <3

Mine started as inyuasha, but it slowly transitioned to Ron from Kim possible.

I'm embarrassed to admit it was Kagome from Inuyasha. I didn't like the show much but there was a crappy little PS2 RPG game I played, and got way too attached to Kagome in it. From there I watched the movies and a little of the show again, mostly just for her.

I had multiple crushes so it's hard to pinpoint one for me, but I think it was either Katara or Ty Lee from Avatar.

A few. And it's difficult to pin down for me what age I was. But Sailor Jupiter might have been one of the first.
Following that definitely Raven from Teen Titans, who still holds up for me. I'm still way into her and she might be the original reason why I like goth-y girls.
Then definitely also Kim Possible.

Well, I'm not sure if this counts, but my dad says he knew I was gay before I ever came out to him because for a long period of time in my preteens, Ivy was the only Soulcalibur character I would play.

Wow your dads genuinely retarded, even if he was right in the end or not, it was still stereotype and dumb luck.

Tons of guys love playing girls in games, even before a character skill set advantage. You'd think he'd start thinking you were gay if you started eyeing out posters of the Beibster or something when walking by a fashion store in your local mall.

I'm pretty sure Slythe is a girl and the implication was a different one.

I know for a damn fact that Slythe is a lesbian.

Also, that's no reason to call someone retarded, either. Let's keep it civil.

You would have had to have not played Soul Calibur to not pick up on the fact that Slythe was saying her first animated crush was Ivy.

For me I believe it was Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, but from the Nelvana dub, which was awful looking back on it. I was 5, don't judge me.

The person didn't imply gender so I defaulted to the majority of this community, "sorry", as a story of a traditional homophobic father watching his pre-sexuality aged boy only play games as females wondering if he felt more comfortable relating to a girl character rather than a boy because why would a 7 year old boy be even interested in women yet? ~Remember, age wasn't implied.~

Then, years later when he indeed does discover his son was gay he uses that observation as a, "Yea, I had a feeling you were gay all along because you played games as girl characters when u were really young", implying that playing a certain gender in a video game is some kind of tee-off when it's really not and is unfortunately kinda stupid.

Imo though male or female the same thing still applies, as there's no reason to think your daughter playing a girl character would automatically make them LGBT either. Girls traditionally emulate/roleplay as their adult female role models so it shouldn't be strikingly out of the ordinary if she did rock Ivy, at least not enough alone to casually guess his child's sexual preference at maybe 7 years of age.

But w/e it doesn't matter, I was drunk when I wrote that anyways.
