Don't know if it has already been said but i feel something i feel it's extremely overrated (or well, i don't see the appeal of) is games like World of Warcraft and League of Legends.
It's one of the few things that a million of people love but i just don't get what makes it so fun (oH lOoK a SpEcIaL sNoWfLaKe), besides it has been already for years and i bet you wouldn't feel that welcomed in these times if you finally decide to try the game where there is already more than a thousand guys with a shit ton of progress and you are just barely starting.
I know it says characters only but... tbh, i just don't get the appeal of those two things in general, not just the characters.

I use to play WoW and even LoL but to me it's a sign of a growing world. A lot of us who did grow up playing these games don't have the time to play them anymore because we are either too busy with life (like a new or full time job or a family) or just the lack of interest in them. After about 3 years I dropped OW because it became that grindy feel of an MMO beating at a wall until I'm given a half hearted reward then go do the next wall for another reward. I still play these kids of games but only diluted I guess like the kind of games that don't require daily ranking to stay with everyone else in order to have fun which if I'm to rant baffles me. These games don't simply let you have fun by yourself as they quickly railroad your fun with other people (WoW gives you more payout with being in a server with others and in raids while OW virtually doesn't let you have too much fun by yourself or with friends) so when I was playing Overwatch I'd get messages like "You have to have fun by your own experience" and with these types of games that is impossible even if they seem like they can lead to better audiences if they let you break off into doing something alone.

Amelia. Yes, the "The_Snowy_Owl" Amelia. I know there isn't much actual art of her, but it seems the character is pretty popular on the forums. I know there's the character account, and they're really good, and blah blah blah, but seriously? She's just another bird furry...

In terms of how fucked the ICame listings are four of the characters are in the top 10s. But yeah the most overrated of the group to me is either Dv.a (Kawaii waifu bait) or Mercy (in terms of canon she's VERY bland)
