I don’t mean that, I mean like the scratchy feeling you get that guides your hand movements when you move it across the paper. It’s pretty disorienting to go to a glass screen lol

This one doesn't feel like glass. The one I had before this one had a glass feeling too it and the nib never ran out. The surface on this one is a tiny bit rougher than glass. XD Of course you could just set a piece of paper on it and it still draws just find if you really need to feel paper under your hand.

Point taken, but either way i’d rather you don’t insist other artists move to digital, I know a lot of friends who paint and hate the hell out of digital lol

Really, because I only know people that love it. All artist should give it a try.

See, but that’s exactly the mindset i’m Trying to prevent. Artists shouldn’t feel financially obligated to buy something they might not like using, and then waste their time trying to learn it only to realize they prefer the way they learned better

You could buy a used one for very cheap and if it really doesn't work for you, just sell it to someone else. There is really no reason they shouldn't try it. I don't get how it can be so hard for people. I just picked up the pen and started drawing and it really wasn't anything difficult to learn. You just look at the screen instead of where your hand is and you already do that with a mouse.
