Movies for 2019
So.
Movies. What opinions do you guys have on the confirmed 2019 movies.
So far, I think Avengers Endgame looks pretty nice. Spider-Man:Far From Home should hopefully be nice as long as it doesn't put a big focus on romance. Toy Story should probably just end after 4. People will get tired of it, probably. Most of the other animated movies kinda seem like garbage (such as...Uglydolls (seriously? ANOTHER musical about how everyone should be happy about who they are?), The Secret Life of Pets 2 (No. No. No.), Frozen 2 (Got tired of the first one after my second watch.), etc.)
As for the movies I've seen recently (How to Train Your Dragon 3 & The LEGO Movie)
They actually were good and didn't go for the typical sequel disorder.

Then there's...Monst-ic the Blech-hog. Nothing against the character...just how he looks in the teaser images.

One I'm most looking forward to seeing this year is 'Avengers: endgame'

I watched Alita: battle angel, and I thought it was fucking awesome (can't wait for more hentai of her)

Not much one for movies, but I'm eagerly awaiting the new NYRB translation of Gregor von Rezzori's 'Cain and Abel' -- I've heard it being compared to Robert Musil and Günter Grass. Hoping for some rule 34 of the novel's central character

Or the next Mortal Kombat movie to implement Ultra Instinct Shaggy.

I'm very consciously optimistic about Star Wars episode 9. I really hope it turns out better then the last one, or at least a bit more tolerable and enjoyable

Although it's going to be hard saying goodbye to Toothless

Dreamworks practically tells us in the trailers, but it doesn't really soften the blow.
Spoilers
At least Astrid and Hiccup ended up together with two kids. And thank God that the HTTYD fanbase isn't like the Naruto fandom with ship wars. It was really nice to see Timeskip Astrid and Hiccup with their kids, introducing them to the dragons.
Also Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Snoutlout were practically pointless. They did nothing of worth, and nobody can argue with that.

Sonic's new design, and a few opinions. (Hoo boy. Get ready for some reading!)
Really...the design could be worse...but it's just so ugly!
cdn.discordapp.com/attach...8415737626626/unknown.png
Then again, I wasn't expecting much from a cartoon character turned into a live-action movie. (Yogi Bear, Dragon Ball (Original), Super Mario Bros. And the accursed Smurfs movies are big examples of the problems with live-action movies based on cartoons)
It looks like Paramount just decided
Bob the Boss:What should Sonic look like?
Earl the Designer:I dunno. Let's fuse him with his Sonic Boom form, Singing Knuckles, and Alvin from those chipmunks movies! Hat could go wrong?
Bob the Boss:...Take your stuff and move to a bigger office. You're getting 10 promotions!

tl;dr:Goddamn it Paramount. I know it's been said already, but why? It would be better as a cartoon movie!

As for some other movies...Dreamworks is probably gonna bomb with some of its ideas for movies next year, and maybe the next movie this year (I do not have a good feeling about Abominable). All they're gonna be pumping out next year are sequels we never asked for:Croods 2, Trolls 2, Boss Baby 2, and two other unnamed movies.

Shrek 5 is all we should be talking about.

Unconfirmed. It may be one of the two unnamed movies in 2020, but it's unlikely... Then again, Disney ended Toy Story's Trilogy well, look where it is now. Yet again another movie. I just can't wait until 21XX when Toy Story 70 comes out.

I forgot to mention Wonder Park.
I don't like it. Aside from seeing the same crap that I've seen a lot in the movie theater trailers, it's a typical story. Kid has dream>Bad shit happens>Kid gets crippling depression>Kid finds dream again>Dream is real>Ahhh darkness is destroying everything>Talking comic relief animals barely do anything>Darkness is defeated>"Always follow your dreams kids, no matter how unrealistic they are!" moral as per the usual.
