Can please someone tell me what is the point of "Solo" tag? What is the point of using it, when we have "Solo_male", "Solo_female", etc? Aren't tags supposed to help us find what we like and filter what we don't? For example, I don't want to see pictures with males, so I put "Solo_male" tag in my black list, but I still keep seeing them because people just use "Solo" instead of a "Solo_male". I don't want to black list "Solo" tag because there are also people who put "Solo" on pictures with girls instead of putting "Solo_female". Isn't this tag just makes everything more difficult?

Jesus, people, stop complaining about tags. It's not like there's a finite list of tags, and mods don't really remove tags from existence. Plus there's A LITERAL PINNED THREAD FOR TALKING ABOUT TAGS!

Okay, but there's already a thread, made by the mod team, for this very reason. Use it. There's no need to clog up the forums with threads that will probably get locked and/or deleted, anyway.

There is a finitie space for forum topics. There are only so many slots on the front page which is why we have megathreads. Plus people don't tend to scroll down much so any wasteful topic is just pushing other more pertinent threads out of view.

solo_male and solo_female don't need to exist for blacklisting purposes. You can just blacklist "female_only" or "male_only" instead. Presumably if you don't want to see a solo male then you wouldn't want to see an all-male group either. Nothing wrong with the "solo" tag existing just because it doesn't fit your specific use case.
