1st album you ever purchased with your own money

ALIEN ANT FARM, still a favorite of mine.

My first fanfic was a Hunter X Hunter based on ANThology. It was while Yorkushin had only given enough to pretend to know the Phantom Troupe (manga time)... He loved Shizuku (vacuum girl) and dies horrifically... Hell, i finished it before the anime even got to the end of the auction....

Whatever, unimportant... This album started my writing and im published on original works at this point, so hey.... Progression through inspiration XD

Glad you said "album you ever purchased with your own money" otherwise my answer would have had to be a John Denver CD my grandma gave me.

Which John Denver is your fav song? Hawk and the Eagle? Sunshine? Country roads? Feather bed? XD.

I think mine was either Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd or the music to Final Fantasy games. I did have John Denver too. Strange to see someone so wholesome mentioned here though.

Pink Floyd was the first album that got me hooked on the adventure of music discovery, though. Got me into playing guitar too. That’s my gem. Ever get a chance.. watch the PULSE concert where the massive crystal ball above the crowd opens up.

Epic solo starts 4:55. Crystal ball shows up around 7:00

Gorillaz Demon Days. Then System of a Down's Hypnotize/Mesmerize double pack not too long after. Also, these were totally blind purchases, with me not knowing what was in any of the albums. Nowadays, that's a surefire way to experience buyer's remorse, but these albums ended up being solid 10/10's for me.
