I have searched for a bit of info and found that herm = futa = dickgirl. They all mean - girl with both sex organs. But in reality there are a fuck ton of posts where girls have just male sex organs. I just realized that there is no tag to refer to them. Or am i wrong?

people usually don't differentiate between the two because the people that actually care are a tiny minority of a tiny minority

I hate that people dont care, but that is fine. What is not fine is that those that manage the site dont care either. I would love if they made it so that when a post has one of these tags, other two would be added automatically.

• danbooru has 'dickgirl' aliased to 'futanari', which is treated as a very generic term – "depicts female characters with male genitalia, or both male and female".
they claim that 'newhalf' is their equivalent tag to e621's 'dickgirl', but it seems there's not even 700 posts containing it, so i suspect either they're lazy about using it or their information isn't accurate.

i'd conclude that 'dickgirl' is the tag to use here — if i see any hermaphrodites tagged as 'dickgirl' i would remove it.
note someone has already done the work of replacing 'newhalf' with 'dickgirl' on posts that contained it.

I believe the proper term would be intersex, not newhalf. But futa would still cover hermaphroditic persons. Intersex are literally girl body with penis.

I'm pretty sure 'intersex' is a much less specific tag that you claim - especially on e621, go read the description they have

Why cant it just be simpler? Why cant there be two tags, where one means a girl with both parts, and the other - a girl with a penis. I believe herm and shemale work just fine, but its only me...

Because this site has way too many accounts for everyone to agree on a tag. Plus the upload bot usually grabs from other porn sites, and uses the same tags, meaning we would also need to set one up with Gelbooru, E621, etc

but keep in mind what i mentioned earlier – danbooru conflates the two, and e621 uses different names entirely.

• danbooru: 'newhalf'
• rule34: 'dickgirl' (recommended)

girl WITH a penis AND a pussy:
• e621: 'herm'
• danbooru: ??? ('futanari -newhalf', i guess?)
• rule34: 'futanari' (recommended)

also keep in mind this only covers two of the 32 possible 'genders'

The way I understand it is that a traditional futanari is just a chick with a dick and pussy and, for whatever reason, no balls. Maybe it's because the idea is whatever magic or mutation affected them simply made the clitoris into a penis, but there's nothing to transform into balls.

Some people get really really stuck on that...like that is the definition and that is the way it must be! Well I have to say that's not how it's tagged. 99% of "futanaris" are the exact same as dickgirls...they have a penis, balls, and no pussy. Considering this is the case...why is dickgirl even necessary? In my mind it's not...it's redundant.

As bipface mentioned before this all-purpose use of the futanari tag comes from Danbooru, but Danbooru is the major fount of all tagging. Danbooru tags...Gelbooru steals from Danbooru and then we steal from both...thus our tagging system is mostly based off Danbooru's. their "mistake" (if you want to call it that, I personally agree with it) is now so deeply ingrained it's more or less impossible to fix (anyone want to sort through 116,000 posts? No? Alright).

My way:

Girl with a penis, balls, but no pussy: futanari
Girl with a penis, balls, and pussy: futanari AND full-package_futanari (all the parts...the full package...lots of confusion on this one for whatever reason...seems so simple to me.)

The "classic" configuration of penis, pussy, and no balls barely happens, but if I had to tag it I would use "futa_sans_balls".

I never use dickgirl, intersex, herm, newhalf, or any of those. Shemale is definitely not needed...dunno how that tag got so big...as if we needed another tag to add to this clusterfuck.

The vast majority of the porn community is lazy and aren't interested in memorize 10+ definitions for an anime girl with a penis.

Personally I don't see any harm in full-package_futanari and futanari because it's implying the obvious, and if people don't want to see balls, full-package_futanari is easily blacklisted, but beyond that it's really not necessary, at least imo.

But w/e, if admins announce enforcement of certain gender tags down the road, I'll follow the rules.

Its quite depressing reading all of these different definitions.
But if i got it right, not all people here are into herms or shemales (, or technically any of those tags), so it would make sense for them not to understand how it works. But those that care, those that get annoyed by that also seem to have a more or less understanding unique to them.

Sure, it is incredibly hard to fix all the mistakes, but why make new ones? Why not just start doing things the right way from now on?

Or if anything, its possible to set up the site, that whenever there is one tag on a post, the other tag, that would be the doppelganger and correct according to other tags, could be added. I bet that would help out a lot.


I had a lot of thought about what a good, maybe even close to perfect booru would work like. And in my mind the site when uploading a post wouldnt just have a huge window for tags, but it would have a lot of necessary to fill tag slots, like:
different body part sizes
body type/s
sexual orientation focus of the post
solo or not
gender/s
act
fetishes
and a window for the remaining unaffiliated tags.
That way posters would have no other choice but to tag their posts, and it would be easier, since there would be clear expectations. A site like that would have way less posts, but it would be a high standards site with good organization.
