As I listen to Lala's story and slowly relax my body as I listen. A great sorrow washes over me as I listen to her tragic story. Yuki couldnt have imagined Papa and Mama clipping her wings and then Mathias hunting her down to eat her. My eyes start mist up as I hop down from the foor Wheeler and walk up to little Lamia. Suddenly my wings wrap around her as I give her a tight hug. "I am so sorry Lala, I had no idea ;-;" Eventually I pull my arms away and wipe my eyes. Then I nod to Drake and Mathias. "Y-Yeah, let's get this done."

Well, compared to Yuki, Lala wasn't that little. Her human half rose to 5'2'', and her snakelike lower body added about the same size to her overall length. Among Lamia, though, she was a pretty short one. She let out a squeak as the demon finally began to move away from his rock, coiling up again. Her eyes intently stared at the figure now talking to Mathias... before she only saw feathers.

Feathers due to the small harpy suddenly hugging her. Lala let out a squeak and fell back, pulling Yuki with herself. Luckily she landed on her tail, but the avian might find herself pressed against Lala's own C-cups, which her ragged jacket had a few issues at hiding.

"Eeek! C-Careful, pleassse!"

After a few seconds of awkwardness, Yuki let go. Which caused Lala to adjust herself again and slither over to Mathias, seemingly... wanting to try and be of help.

“Yuki be careful. Our little cute snake in the grass seems to be on the shy side.”
Drake said as he ripped out an old piece of the fence with his bare hands as if it was nothing.
“You want my advice? Hold off your advancements until she’s more settled in. And that’s coming from someone who might not be staying here permanently.”
Drake muttered at the end and hoped the keen ears of the Harpy didn’t pick up on it.

Yuki stepped away nervously and gave an embaraced smile. "S-Sorry, I just felt bad about my behavior and wanted to try to make it up to her." Thankfully I seemed to miss that last statement as I giggled nervously. "Well you heard Mathias, you can stay and help out if you like." I say as I start picking up boards and hauling them over to the fence.

Drake takes one and impales it firmly into the ground.
“It’s tough but someone’s got to do it.”
Drake says calmly as he ripped out another old fence post.
“Hey Yuki. Think I have a chance with her? She makes my snake solid. Know what I’m sayin?”

Lala didn't seem to catch Drake's statement either. Her cheeks were a little pink, however, as the smaller harpy let go of her, shyly tugging on her ragged jacket.

"T-Thank you all... I promissse I'll be good."

Yuki blushed violently as she heard Drakes words as she dropped the boards onto the ground. "First off, you referring to that...as a snake is terrifying to me on a multitude of levels. Secondly if you like her that much why dont you get her a new set of clothes." Realizing what could happen during that I violently shake my head. "N-Never mind, I'll take her to my room and lend her some clothes." I approach Lala again and wave to her. "Come on, lets get you something new to wear~" smiling happily I turn around and lead you to the boarding house.

Mathias smirked as he started nailing cross boards into the posts Drake was driving into the ground. "Gonna get yourself in trouble Drake, he said under his breath as he worked."

Louder Mathias said, "I think that sounds like a great idea Yuki, long as that's ok with you Lala. Looks like your clothing is a bit (ahem) road weary"

"Sssomething new?"

Lala tilted her head... before trying to give Yuki a slight smile, nodding.

"Thank you."

She folded her arms befoer her chest in a likely vain effort to cover up somewhat. Well, Lala did mention she was chased down by hounds... so they were likely the cause all she wore were these rags. Lowering her head slightly, she slithered across the lush, soft grass, her scales back to the pinkish tone of red they usually displayed. Occasionally, she produced a little rattle as her lower body wasn't properly moistured. That would pass after some time.

Yuki slowly led the snake girl into the boarding house and smiled at her. She then led her up the stairs and led her into her cutesy girly room. "Here we are, my home~ since you dont have a room yet you can bunk with me if you want ^~^" I blushed softly as I fiddled with my wings. "Consider it an apology for earlier >~<" Walkijg over to my closet I open it up and look around for something suitable for you. Since your torso was longe than mine my long t shirts probably would cover over everything. Eventually I settle on a white light summer dress which would helpfully be easy for her to put on and wear. "How is this?"

“Eh. Trouble always finds me one way or another. I’m pretty sure some Crusaders are still chasing me.”
Drake said nonchalantly. He ripped out yet another old board and tossed it aside before ramming in a new one.
“But I’ve always evaded them thus far so don’t worry too much Mathias.”
Drake said in a calm tone.

While Lala followed the little harpy back to said house, she always seemed to look down a bit. It wasn't because she did not admire the friendliness of Mathias and in particular little Yuki despite her latent fear of snakes. No, it was because she attempted to not be a bother to anyone after her getaway.

Regardless, she returned the little smile and followed Yuki upstairs, the slight rattling of her scales growing a bit louder as grass was replaced with polished wood. She winced a little and looked to be slightly embarassed.

"T-Thanksss, Yuki, but c-could you posssibly ssshow me a bathroom? I... I'm a bit dehydrated, you sssee."

She did still, however, catch a glimpse of the harpy's room. Everything was so fluffy and cute, Lala couldn't help but to be a little bit reminded of her mansion home. She perked up as you addressed her again.

"Mm? O-oh, sssorry. I was lost in thought... Y-yeah, I think that will be nissse. Thank you... and apologiesss you have to lend me sssomething..."

"Oooh I ain't worried about you Drake," Mathias says as he watches Drake drive another fence post into the ground, "something tells me you can take care of yourself. Nah just an observation. Ya seem to like invitin mischief to yerself."

Mathias pauses as he hammers in another crossbeam. "Not that I'm complaining mind ya. The results are usually entertaining, and folks generally seem to like ya, so I got no issue with how you have your fun."

Mathais pauses again as he affixes another board, then with a rather awkward transition he says, "Hey so you and Yuki hang out from time to time ya? She ever, uuuh, said anything... about... me?"

Smiling sheepishly and shrugging he continues, "you know anything... well you know."
