Well it IS empty of meaning as at the end you just go your separate ways. Not exactly a bad thing just how the concept itself works. It's tough to attribute any sort of emotional meaning to a one night stand.
It depends on who you are, I myself have found loving sex to be much more fulfilling than a causal thing.
I prefer romantic sex over 'just sex', whatever that means.

Dunno, I'm gonna have to agree with OP and say that it's pretty empty if it's just a quickie at a party. It's great in the moment but it's worthless and could come back to bite your ass hard in the long run.

Love making is for connecting on a deeper level. Although you can just have sex while in a loving relationship with minimal effect/connecting of the love making part.
