Where are you looking for it? It's had a bit of a resurgence in the last 10-15 years, and isn't just made by/for Scandinavians anymore.
I remember being able to get it, years ago, at the government liquor stores in Ontario (Canada). It's more common in the UK now too. I'd suggest starting with an internet search for mead distributors in your country/jurisdiction. If you're in a country/jurisdiction where the government has a monopoly on alcohol sales, look up their liquor distribution website, or give them a call. You'll save yourself a lot of time and bother if the answer for you, locally, is: "We don't carry that."
