Whereas shaving can irritate the skin, and cuts can be a vector for infection.

when I'm single I usually don't bother shaving (cause like who's gonna see it anyway) unless I'm going on a date or going downtown and planning on getting laid. if I'm in a relationship I go by what my partner likes. my first gf didn't mind hair that much but she didn't like when I had full bush so I used to trim it. my first bf said he preferred shaved girls so I shaved regularly to keep it smooth. my current gf loves bush so I don't bother shaving that often.
