Do you even lift?
Does anyone here train? Goals? Routines? Experienced? Just starting?

The last six months I've been getting back into weights after a near ten year lay off. Did some linear progression for a bit, now considering switching to 531.

I don't know what linear progression and 531 means, but I having been doing this for a while:

531 is just a popular intermediate periodisation routine. That program you are doing is essentially a linear progression routine, except the "just increase the weight when you feel up to it" (to paraphrase) is a bit haphazard and less effective than siding a planned increase and deloads when you plateau. Otherwise that's a nice routine. Have you gotten decent results from it?

To soon to see anything significant, but I have gone up 5-10lbs on certain workouts. Hard too keep track of it all.

Highly recommend conscious breath meditation to practise calm mind, it's as simple as sitting in a chair eyes closed and just focusing on the life breath leaving and entering your body at the nostrils, you will find your mind falls silent with practise.

With more practise you can do this at any time in life just by focusing on the breath, very handy if you are trying to motivate yourself to do something like exercise, having a calm almost blank mind really helps silence any voice talking against working out and you just do it, it also silences cravings for junk food :)

Meditation overall is the best thing you can do for your life really, not just workout, buddhist or yogic meditation techniques are good, but don't worry about technique, the simplest one's are often best.

Wimhoff breathing is great for getting more power in your workout.

Yoga 3 times a week myself & cardio every other day. As far as lifting, only two or three times a week. I don't want to be bufff, just petite & toned.

Been lifting for almost 8 years now. Hit the gym 4 times a week. Been trying to bulk the entire time (being a hard gainer sucks), but I've definitely made more progress after finally finding a solid routine regarding training and eating. Was about 137 lbs a few months ago, and now I'm in the 150's.
