Everyone, I have brought pizza rolls. Gather around as I tell you the one thing that made me drop a RP so fast. A misspelling. Now I am pretty tolerant of spelling and grammar errors, as long as I can get the jist of what you are saying, and your spelling isn't super egregious it's all good. Now what was the word? They mispelled the word "turn" as tern. Not joking. No it wasn't a simple typo. Like I could understand tirn for example, but tern. Dropped the RP, but I learned that a tern is a type of bird and is the name a folding bicycle shop.

By the way the infamous phrase was... "did it no its ur tern"
Yeah that can be off putting especially when they talk in sentences that don't make sense. o-o

Yeah... needless to say that one didn't last long. It's moments like that which make you appreciate the good RPers.

How did your RP session break down?
It all started when I was born...

I get "they just stop responding." I've also notice it happens more often when I'm the sub--and I love being the sub which makes it really frustrating. When I'm dom, I have the advantage of initiative and creativity which keeps the RP going.

I like to think I'm good at RPing. I try to keep to the flow of the conversation, stay in character, and try to answer back in at most the day the message was sent.

I feel you man. there are too many subs trying to thrive in the presence of doms XD (I am one of those subs)

No I think he just didn't want to be a girl.

you're right. or maybe he does not like monstergirl and anime based RPs.

That's one way to go about it.

I RP'd on Alraune's castle, in fact, I was the last one to update it. I remember a moderator named Shaded_Cube, deleted multiple pages of HUGE character development, calling it low-effort garbage. We tried to RP after that, but I think everyones passion kinda' fizzled out

I still dont like Shaded_Cube, and consider him responsible for the death (Or hopefully drought) of Alraune's Castle. I don't think mods should be able to delete forum posts without the owners permission, and knowledge. Minnette was not online when the posts were deleted, and got on shortly after. Needless to say, the entire situation pisses me off.

Them: "I really want to rp as this character"
Me: "Okay cool let's do it."
Them: >bland, uninspired writing
Me: >tries to roll with it and maybe lead by example
Them: >still writing like they're not even paying attention
Me: "Are... are you okay? Would you rather be doing something else?"
Them: "Like what? Got any ideas?"
Me: "Know what, nevermind."

I sorta feel compelled to rp when people request it, but a lot of times I'm not really into it, and the other person just writes really blandly and refuses to take any action, which is annoying.

Even worse is when someone stretches it out, by the end I just feel drained.

Horrible time differences so we have to balance it out over days... or irl injury -.-

All my fantastic rp partners /interests have like 6+ hour time differences. (so far we make a good dedicated session work)

I sometimes get so concerned with whether or not my partner is enjoying it that I drive them away. And yes. I'm admitting that it has been my fault a couple times.

Short replies and poor grammar also hurt my soul.

In addition, I tend to recieve really creepy messages, sometimes bordering on threatening whenever I post an RP offer and/ or someone misses out on it... It kind of kills my desire to participate in RPs...

People just normally stop replying to me, though sometimes it's my fault due to me not always being on here to reply
