Today is the day before Christmas.
More importantly, though, today is also the beginning of the alliance between Red and Jale.
There was a large reception room. It was about three stories tall, and the walls are painted pure white. Hanging from the ceiling, was a large chandelier with sixteen glowing stalactites. Accompanying this centerpiece, were several whitish-blue smokeless, floating cold flames, magically and beautifully illuminating the entire room.
On the lightly snow-cloaked floor, in the back of the room, stood three large buffet tables. In-between each of them, was another blue-flame post. The first table was full of various cooked and raw meats, including beef, veal, pork, chicken, and the odd ball of the bunch, warthog. A row of two fondue pots lined this first table, containing either gravy, or cheddar.
The second table's left side contained several salads and salad toppings, and even had the choice of lettuce. On the right side, laid a selection of wines, beers, sodas, and juices, surely to quench the thirst of anybody and everybody.
On the third and final table, stood a stack of three layers of star-shaped carrot cake. Surrounding this masterpiece of a pastry were dozens of miniature bowls, made out of baked chocolate-chip cookie dough, and filled with either Smarties, M'Ms, or a scoop of banana, strawberry, or blueberry ice cream.
Windows lined the walls, and were covered in sky-blue see-through ribbonlike curtains. On another side, was a large, empty space, lined with chairs in the middle, leading to a super fancy altar.
As I stood back and admired all that beautiful work, dressed in a silver suit with a white shirt and black shoes, I summoned the final piece of my efforts; from the ceiling, descended a squad of thirty snow angels, which sung our praise with a subtle mix of Christmas caroling in their voices.
All that was missing now, was him...
