Major age gap? (Question/thoughts)
So I see this argument often elsewhere, mostly with many always treating the older man or woman as a predator just for being with a young man or woman (of age obviously). Or if that's not the case, treating the young adults with mom or dad issues.

But what are your opinions about it? Please be civil or if it's not the place to ask these questions. Delete or lock please and sorry in advance.

For me? As long as it's all consensual and it works out nicely for the two, I don't see it as anything to complain over since it's clearly legal.

I'm not even above 30 but badly worded it, but I still have issues with it in life. I can careless about a drawing around here.

Besides, I perfer the older type.

it really depends on the situation. like, i wouldn't care too much of it's a 22 y.o and someone 40 or more, but if it's a 25 and + specifically always trying to date 18 y.os, it's creepy, even if it's legal. why would you go with freshly out of high school kids??

They put to much stock into age
After I had hit 30. The 20 year old women where easier to date. They hang on every word I say. Whether it be because they have daddy issues like one fwb or whatever.

When I was young and was with a 30 year old. The gurls friend joked about her being a cradle robber.

Im still the same jackass from back then, but because Ive been around my words seem more "mature"

Some women did research on one famous actor that seemed to dump a girl as soon as they would turn 25. Who was that? I cant remember.

I suppose I have a bit of personal experience with this so I'll give my two cents.

I'm currently 19 and I made this account right after turning 18 (I was born in March 2005), so most of the people I was RPing with in the early days were quite a bit older than me. One guy in particular was like 32 and we did many RPs together throughout 2023. Some others were in their mid-late 20s and one guy was like 40 I think.

Looking back, although they were fun, I don't think I'd repeat it if I was that age again. Which sounds funny to say since I'm only a year older but still, it does feel a little weird looking back that they were all okay RPing with an 18-year-old, especially since (generally) you don't just magically become mentally mature the day you turn eighteen.

I think anyone that age who's going to get into that kind of relationship should just really think to themselves, "Is it okay that this person is perfectly comfortable getting sexual with someone who is mere months or weeks away from being illegal?" Because I dare say a good chunk of the time, it's probably not.

But obviously you're still an adult who gets to make decisions, just be smart about them

I feel like I hear that story often when it comes to those famous, that's the dynamic I hate when the other is often selfish

I have no issues with it. It’s a preference all around on both ends. Some ends though do happen to be a bit weirder than others.

The only time I see it as an issue is if a person specifically hunts for younger partners, to the point they'll dump/reject anyone past a certain age.

But if two consenting adults got the hots for each other? Go hard.

I try to stay out of other peoples business as long as it’s between legal adults. When I was a young adult, I lived in a very rural area that was conservative and wealthy. The only men I had as options to hook up with were much older than me. I’m not always proud of that era, but it was a lot of fun
