Shows you never got the hype for?
For me, I never understood why so many people liked JJK. The story really isn’t that great later on

Sword Art Online. It's only slightly better than Ernest Cline's Ready Player One given the blatant juvenile fantasy and wish fulfillment of the protagonist Kirito

Attack on Titan.

I see people riding that hype all the way til today, but all I ever hear from my friend group is how bad it is, and how crap the lore and worldbuilding is. Also I don’t like depressing ass series with gratuitous gore, and Eren dickriders can go suck an egg. The main concept in general never appealed to me anyway. So, no thanks.

Most popular modern animes tbh. I think the only two that have even caught my interest are dungeon meshi, CSM and bocchi. And I've only watched one of those. I'll get to the other two one of these days... In five years maybe.

But for specific animes, oshi no ko. Finished ep1 and immediately backed out. The op is literally the best part abt it.

I've made it a thing for years now not to buy into hype. I don't check something just because it's popular. It's either I'm interested to begin with or I'm not.

Attack on Titan. Never appealed to me in any way. And hype in general usually averts my attention.

Witcher. Hate the game fandom. Because back then they worshipped Witcher as if it was a videogame Jesus that blessed the entire industry. And I honestly tried to play. Get bored, found fighting aspect of the game boring as well and dropped.

Squid game. Purely because I can't believe in this screwed reality where their games island stays a secret for linger than an hour. And hype ofc.

Mandalorian. It's ironic how low Disney managed to drop the viewers expectations so low, that OK show manages to be viewed as masterpiece.

Rogue one. Look at the reason above, add the fact that most of the movie feels empty and tries to artifically pull your emotions.

Attack on Titan, especially how they squeezed the last drop of the finale

JJK story is ok, what makes amazing is the power system, characters and fights, It has become one of my favorite Shounen.

Quit anime years ago
From memory...Bleach. It was just a show to turn on a night to fall asleep on.

Most anime is for kids and young adults. Even with the nudity.

Specifically the chimera ant arc for Hunter X Hunter. Oh my lord, the amount of dick riding I see for that arc is ridiculous. Yea, Meruem is a great antagonist, yes the animation goes super hard, yes, the overall plot is arguably even better than the Yorknew arc (my favorite arc) but holy shit the pacing is an atrocious mess. When the palace invasion begins, the pacing grinds nearly to a halt. I get it, there’s a lot of shit to keep track of, so having the narrator explain some things might have been for the best. But the 5 minute sequence of him saying “why did Killya turn left instead of right?” Was the biggest time waster of all time. And half the time, the narrator says things that are so obvious and that other characters straight up explain anyway! Fuck that narrator

The witcher fandom is pretty bad. Every open world rpg game gets compared to that movie-game.

I think that was onr of the last anime I fully watched. How many years has it been...

Man that show was forgetable. All I remember is Gons finishing move. Bubblegum guy, blonde buff, killua, and gons dad gettimg punched.

I dont remember why or who made the chimera arts or if that situation ever got resolved.
