Thinking of baking a bunch of desserts for my housemates and possible customers. Any tips to make it as good as possible? I don’t bake very much and I’d love some advice.
Well, first, make sure that you get a list of any potential allergies down ahead of time.
Second? Nutmeg. A little bit of nutmeg can send desserts to god-tier. Not too much, mind you; just a dash. It also depends on what kind of dessert you want to make. Cupcakes? Cheese cake? Meringues? Pies?
There's a lot of variety when it comes to desserts, after all.
Were an incredible recipe my grandmother used to make, before she sadly perished in a freak vegetable processing accident. She called it "black loaf" but there's other names for it too I think.
Essentially what u want to do is get coarse flour and blend it with gunpowder and tonic water to make a dough. Throw some brown sugar and a bit of cinnamon in there, then bake that sucker until it's golden. Sprinkle more cinnamon, sugar and gunpowder on top.
Absolutely tremendous. Everyone will melt for it, I assure you.
Tarts maybe? Cheesecake is always a banger but you can find something other than strawberry like peanutbutter and chocolate. I made it last summer and everyone loved it
Recently starting baking myself a bit and since i rush or try to 'multitask' a bit I'd suppose the only thing i can add to this is take your time. Prep your items before hand or in decent order.
Can't tell you how many times i forgot to grease the pan, turn stove on first or skipped an ingredient and so on. Take your time and make sure you got/do everything properly
Brownies are easy to make by just following the instructions on the package. I recommend you only use 1 egg regardless of what the package says though for extra fudginess. The more eggs, the more cake-like it becomes.
