I haven't read any of those, but I'm gonna take a wild guess and assume that the authors of many of them saw the same societal trends at the time and made similar predictions for the future.

Technically, fantasy can be anything and Sci-Fi is effectively fantasy in the future and with technology instead of magic. Not all fantasy is "wizards and dragons in medieval europe".
