Art styles you dislike and why
What are some art styles you just dislike for whatever reason? (Excluding AI art because I know a lot of people will say it)

Feel free to link a post of that art style to give a better example!

For me its when a characters body is super realistic but they have an overly anime style face, it looks super weird to me xD

The common anime style. Pointy chins and weird noses make the faces look weird in a way that I don't find appealing. As a guy who looks at a character's face before anything else, this can be a deal-breaker.

Now before someone accuses me of just hating anime or being xenophobic or some shit, the DCAU art style and the Total Drama art style also do this and I don't like it when they do it either.

You described precisely what I meant in my post, I'm the same, I immediately look at face(s) so it's easily a deal breaker for me aswell

This isn't unique to any one style. Quite a lot of toony characters in many different styles are mismatched in this fashion. Still annoying, though. It often looks like the head was photoshopped onto someone else's body.

This fucking samey ass, stupid artstyle you see everywhere. It just rubs me the wrong way for a multitude of reasons. It's inescapable, there's just always a variation of it somewhere or someplace else. So fucking annoying.

Oh, I know that style, Sloppy, lazily drawn, shading is just scribbles and blobs. Comes off as a very childish style even if portraying very adult subjects.

I call it the tumblrina style.

I don’t care for lustylamb’s style tbh, using that cutesy-wootsy style to portray some pretty extreme kinks makes the result uncomfortably weird.
