How literate of a roleplayer do you consider yourself? How literate do you prefer your partners?
Title.

Personally, I think I'm in the top 35% or so of roleplayers, probably somewhere in the lower end, and I'd prefer for people to at least know what they're doing and write at least one paragraph for me to bounce back on at any given moment.

I think I'm considerably literate, my comments probably speak for themselves! I haven't been roleplaying for long, but I think I've improved a lot, especially as of recent. At the very least, I don't usually find myself feeling challenged by my partners.

As for preference when it comes to my partners, as long as they can spell and write longer than one-liners, then I can adapt pretty easily. I don't necessarily need all of my roleplays to be super literate and detailed, sometimes it's nice to unwind with a shorter, more casual format of writing! ^^

I write full paragraphs, come up with a lot of story, play multiple characters at the same time, keep track of what happens, and explain surroundings in detail. So I'd say I'm pretty literate.

I like my partners as equal or more than creatively literate as I am, or at least people who understand how to write decently. I hate one-liners or just repeating suggestions I gave them, but players who put actual effort into their responses and have fun with the game we are playing.

I'm part of the semi literate side!! I perfer to and people who do write 2 to 5 lines per turn. Anymore and it's a fucking English class, any less it's not worth it. I will say, decent spelling and grammar are needed. No perfect 100% accuracy, but no " I fuc ur as on my big dick."

Very.

To both!

I’m a chatterbox. So just gimme something I like, like some good pair of goth tiddies, and I’ll chat chat chat away.

If I like you and your writing, and feel like we just click, that is.

Y’know. It’s all relative to whatever the person I like likes to write and how much. But I’m just sayin’, the more wordier the betterier. ;v

I feel like im decently literate. Not gonna claim to be the best or anything at all since im still astounded by some people years into doing this whole rp thing--

But that said i prefer my partner to at least be literate. Able to spell and what not; i generally don't mind what length a reply is but I'd say a paragraph should get everything across just fine.

i definitely try to get more literate as possible. I had the chance to have a nice roleplay only once sadly :(

I consider myself quite good at painting scenes with words, but it gets tiring quickly given how much effort I try to put in. I tend to prefer dirty talk over RP. And while I don't mind occasional typos at all, I am massively turned off by poor grammar and the overuse of "text speak".

I usually have issues finding ideas of what I want the RP to entail, but I can get very descriptive when it starts. One liners are the bane of my existence, though. I hate having nothing to work with.

i feel you, my problem is finding RP partners with the same interests/kinks as me and willing to take the lead since im a bit of a non-expert

I'd say I'm rather literate, I'm good with grammar and punctuation, and try my best to be detailed. By no means am I an expert, but so long as me and my partner can write decently good paragraphs, and get off to our writing, then that's what matters to me most.

When I do role play I actually spend more time typing and thinking rather than masturbating. My author brain turns on right as it starts and I get in the zone. I also prefer a partner with a similar level of dedication and prose, it keeps us on the same wavelength and keeps it smooth.

I know I'm very literate. I always write a paragraph and attempt to match the number of lines my partner writes. I only hope that they don't if I start, because I'm prone to letting my writing get the best of me and end up rambling prose. I always try and reign it in after the first message.

Two things I'll admit I'm not good at are dialogue (I will oftentimes write just one line of dialogue to accompany my whole message, although how can you do dialogue well if your character mostly stutters and moans the whole time?) and punctuation, specifically around quotation marks/brackets. (I never know where the next piece of punctuation goes.

For example, let's say someone reiterates something as a question. I would write it like this:

"But didn't you say 'this this and this'?"

And I'm unsure if that's correct.)

I like to think I'm pretty literate. People sometimes pay me to write erotica for them, after all. As for RP, I prefer to match my partner's energy. I'll have big, 5 paragraph responses, or simple short single paragraph replies depending on how my partner wants to do it.

My only two conditions are that I don't want to RP with people who drop one liners, and I don't RP in first person.

I would consider myself exceedingly literate. But, I have a bad habit of getting shy, hence my shorter comments. Like this one, for instance!

When talking 1-on-1, I can reach up to three paragraphs relatively easily, though I try to match whatever length my partner writes.

As for my partner's ability, I prefer it to be at the very least above average. That part is not terribly difficult to find, somehow; the true problem lies in finding someone with whom I really "mesh". RP definitely won't work out if we can't communicate, and I feel less invested if my partner and I refrain from writing any sort of build-up to the sexy part.
