So I'm having a rather mild discussion with a friend about which main meal would you sacrifice forever. She says she'd give up lunch, but I countered by saying that breakfast can easily be written off.

So, between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which one could you guys permanently live without?

Breakfast, on the condition that you're speaking of the time for eating instead of specific food, because eggs and bacon are too damn good to give up.

Lunch, easily. A sandwich and/or a salad and/or a bowl of soup, or similar light fare in the middle of the day I could do without and never miss. You may take my salad, but you won't get my eggs and grits until you pry my cold, dead fingers from around the plate they're on.

Less over-dramatically, I already go without lunch when I'm on vacation. Get up, hit the breakfast buffet (one plate of "bad"- eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, etc., and one plate of "good"- yogurt, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, oatmeal, etc.), and I'm not hungry until dinner time.
