Are femboys too fetishized even in porn?
This is going to sound weird on a hentai site but I really wish femboys weren't nearly as fetishized as they are

Because ignoring the problems that has in real life for a moment, in a porn context so much erotic material involving femboys or even just feminine men is often so far down the kink line in it's content with extreme BDSM elements such as degradation, sissy talk, CBT and so on, or how lots of images on here will give the femboy an absurdly large cock. Not to yuck that yum obviously if you're into it, but for me personally I wish there was way more soft vanilla stuff involving cute feminine men, because as a hetero effeminate guy who prefers the idea of being gently caressed over being hardcore dominated/dominating, it's very difficult to find stuff that actually gets me going in that regard

Does that make sense? Am I going crazy?

Well my response might actually provide anecdotal evidence to support your theory. Because I didn't even think femboys were a real life thing until joining this forum. Seriously thought they were just a porn or roleplay phenomenon. (I kind of still do, too. But only because I suspect the definition of what a femboy is has become so blurry that nobody actually has any firm grasp on it anymore, ergo leading a lot of people to identify as femboys that others might look at and just see "a guy.")

I can certainly see what you're saying, I do enjoy the oversexualization of most things, but that's because I find the humor in it. Though not a fan of harsher picks like you mentioned either. There's plenty of sweet stuff, but lots of guys see femboys and instantly think of adding more to a spank bank instead of cute and wholesome stuff.

Yes, and I hate it

One of my friends is a femboy. He loved wearing skirts and cute dresses, and posting pics of his outfits, but all the comments are degrading or sexual.

There's also people in public who have taken pictures of him and hes even admitted he hated it.

It kept happening and he eventually stopped. He stopped wearing anything cute and dressed 'normal'. It was sad.

I talked about it to him while he was venting and he said he just felt like an object.
It's kinda like seeing yourself in a cute outfit, and people online immediately making it sexual, even if its just sweats and a tee.

This is the main reason why I hate most femboy porn. I'm not against the general concept of femboys and some tasteful pinups do exist but most of it is this slutty, fetishised and/or degrading filth that I refuse to tolerate. It's so hard to find images of good "normal" ones when the few that exist are lost in an ocean of filth.

You could argue the same thing happens to women in general...

I think vanilla femboy and vanilla AGP stuff is also sweet and cute, but think the demand for that isn't very high because that's not where the money lies. Hypercock femboys starring in CBT/Sissification/Sissy hypno/degradation content is what most indulgers spend money on, thus leading to femboy over-representation in hard-core BDSM content.

You ever look for normal femboy pornography and stumble upon a twerking video telling white guys to be bred out by other races? I did once, and I have no clue how I got there. I remembered that after I posted, so I suppose there might be too many more odd femboy vids out there than I originally realized.

i personally would want to dress more effeminately, but again, the stigma over it being just a sex thing instead of something cute really scares me away. kinda wish it was different, but eh, that’s just how it is.

Yes, they are. I am guilty of doing this even without meaning to.

Yup. I literally made an OC who almost manifests that problem. He's a short, feminine-looking guy that's sick of being treated like a femboy, as he definitely isn't one.

I'd say that's just a general problem for femme people of all stripes.
Except here I personally feel like there may be an interesting dynamic going on.
Basically, femininity and expression thereof is considered something that makes one available, due to the perception that it's intentionally done to attract others - that's my premise.
Now, through various feminist waves over the years that perception has changed somewhat, leading to less of a fetishization of women, due to how feminism, of course, initially served the rights of women primarily.
But here's what I believe: due to the focus on women specifically as opposed to feminine expression itself, it now presents those same issues of sexualization and fetishization for every other person who expresses themselves in a feminine way, thus making the category of "femboy" almost inherently sexual to some since there's this idea of "why else would he wear all this feminine stuff if not to appeal to my gaze?".

So, basically, feminism fucked up a bit there and now that intersectionality is in, the focus ought to be on decoupling femininity in general from those notions.
Them's my apples.

Not gonna philosophize while beating my shmeat but I agree with you that a lot of femboy stuff is on the extreme side

So what you're saying is that a "Cobra Problem" inadvertently happened with femboys?
