Had a recent thought about the vast amount of foreign languages out there, so I wanted to make this thread to see what kind of languages people know and/or speak. Whether it's reading, writing, or speaking said foreign language is up to you. You could also include languages you intend to learn in the near future as well.

Just to start things off, I can only speak French and Japanese. Between the two, I'd say Japanese is much harder to learn. I'm considering either learning Spanish or German, not sure yet though.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm a native English speaker, so do mention your native language for context!

Good on your for learning all those languages! Especially Japanese, that's really hard to learn!

The only "foreign" language I speak is Afrikaans, since I grew up speaking it alongside English.

But there are plenty of languages I'd love to learn. Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, just to name a few :)

I was raised in Canada, so while my first language is English, I can also speak a bit of French, and I know enough Spanish to pass as a tourist.

Spanish! And at some point I want to learn another language, but that's really long-term.

Polish but also speaks English. I also know German and French to a lesser extent.

Technically 0, since I'm bilingual - English and Polish.

I know a little bit of German and I speak a bit of Norwegian.

Well, I guess English in my case, as my native language is Greek.

Although I do want to maybe try learning a language from my Balkan neighbors.

im fluent in tamazight which is my first language, ive almost completely forgotten all the arabic and french i learned in and out of school. and english which is the language i learned "most recently" is the language i use most.

Spanish

Polish, English and a bit of Japanese. Don't know whether in my case English or Polish would count as 'foreign'

English. My native language is German.
I also learned basic Japanese for a while, but have gotten woefully out of practice.

First lenguage is spanish, second lenguage is english
