Thoughts on circus/jester aesthetic?
Not inherently a horny thread, but nothing is stopping you from posting clussy if you want to. That being said anyone else here have an appreciation for the jester or clown aesthetic? I'm talking anyone from Gale or Hisoka to Dimentio or Fizzaroli.

Clowns, jesters, minstrels, circus performers, Rule34 users, etc.

Does beetlejuice count? Like, I’m not attracted to him, but does liking his weirdness count?

Clownpiece, perhaps?

Yes, I fucking love some good circus aesthetics. I kind of see myself as a clown irl sometimes considering my knack interest in doing weird stuff to make people laugh.

I like it and wish more artists would give it a try... I honestly can't think of anything else to say but the world needs more clown girls.

I’ve always supported and somewhat built much of my identidy around clowns, jester and clussy. I love making people laugh, and telling jokes, even if they don’t always land. But failure is part of the clown lifestyl, lol. I even made a jester OC. And when clussy fever struck the nation in 2022, I was the one shouting from the rooftops; “IT’S BEEN HERE FOR YEARS!!”

I still remember one day looking up Geiru on here, and she legitimately only had like 10 or so drawings. And then clussy fever fucking EXPLODED that character into the stratosphere! And now she’s at half a thousand posts. It was insanity.

I also love Harley Quinn. Used to be a character I didn’t acknowledge before I dedicated my life to clownfoolery, but now she’s my top DC girls. The new cartoon that came out helped a lot too, she’s such an entertaining character. Also love her classic outfit.

My favorite jester character is Jevil from Deltarune. Love the design and color palette, also the fact he’s like the only character in that game who had actual voice lines, before Chapter 2. I thought it was so freaky, I loved it.

I was already hooked on the funny before I watched it, but look up Clown Town by Painter Seap. It’s like really cute clown propaganda, lol.

The circus aesthetic is very potent, no matter the purpose. In recent times I think it's been used the least for comedy, because it's played out or stale, ironically.

There's something about sinister or powerful characters intentionally looking like a fuckin' clown, though. An example I like quite a bit is Kefka Palazzo.

There's a podcast I like with a character who's a clown, but taken to the whole "uncanny valley" type of horror one can extrapolate from the profession.

They also make reference to the longest running joke amongst British clowns.

Yes, I do think jesters are superior to clowns and I'm tired of pretending they're not.

Man I sure do love couriers, they're inherently superior to delivery drivers.

Clowns go "honk", "HONK" or "hOnK", jesters don't (and sometimes they're nihilistic). Simple as.

Courier carries more of a "anofer letter from me lowd" connotation than delivery drivers. Or New Vegas.

Personally, I think harlequins have the best / most versatile aesthetic, but it might be fairly overplayed as far as circus folk go.

I like all three, we do not practice clownpremacy in this home.
