Doctor Who fans?
Just curious, I've only ever met a few Whovians on R34, was wondering if you're all just lurking or it's just a really niche thing among British People xD If you haven't seen it I'd definitely recommend!

I love the series Doctor Who and I do live in germany. There's quite a mentionable ammounts of german fans of Doctor Who. Sadly the show didn't do well in German TVs because they were dumb and thought Prime Evil gonna be the successful thing and putted Doctor Who to some unholy times where most people would be asleep.
They Pikachu surprised faced when they realised Prime Evil didn't do well as a series and the german TV fucking up greatly with making success with Doctor Who.

I remember seeing ads for it, and thinking "WTF is going on?"

I just remember how bored I was at the series. I had to watch Doctor Who on so called "grey sites"

I have always been curious to delve into this franchise, I am a fan of science fiction and other low-budget action television works, so I take this opportunity to ask for your recommendation on how to start watching the series

Doctor Who was my shit at one point. I tuned out after Peter Capaldi’s series end, though I did initially take a break after series 8.
I started with Eccleston, but like most David Tennant was my favorite. The first stories of Old Who that I saw was the Key to Time arc from Fourth Doctor’s run; I then saw his last two stories and Davidson’s first.
Back when I wanted to be “True Whovian” I decided to go all the way back to the beginning. I found most of the First Doctor’s run to be kind of a slog by modern standards, but through sheer patience and commitment I finished most of it. I’ve also watched the Second Doctor’s season and a little beyond that.

The common wisdom (and the way I started), is to begin with the revived series. And if you’re a dedicated enough fan by then, go ahead and watch the original.
You don’t have to go in chronological order for the most part if you’re watching the original series, so don’t feel like you HAVE to start with the first doctor’s run and watch it all the way through. Like I said earlier, the First Doctor’s stories are an acquired taste and you need to be in the right mindset to get the most enjoyment out of them, which is easier said than done.

I live down under and I love doctor who! Which is kind of funny because I never really liked sci-fi before this. I think the main reason I love it is how dorky the doctor can be, it's really cute.

I'm really only a fan of 4, 10, 11, and 12. But I enjoy it. I will be tuning in for the return of 10 as I'm very excited for it. However, I will note, Doctor Who lewd stuff has never really done it for me. It.. feels.. weird. Like the show is so.. not lewd. I don't really know how to explain it but I legit struggle to lewd anyone outside of Clara and Amy. And even then that's more the actresses.

Aye, I'm super excited to see David Tennant back! I couldn't believe it had been 10 years since he'd been the doctor, seemed like only a little while ago! That's fair, though I do have to say Clara, Amy (and David Tennant) all hot as hell!

Ahahaha gods I remember watching Primeval when it was coming out! Was kind of fun but all over the place! Glad to hear Doctor Who reached European borders though!

Oh absolutely give it a go! Personally I'd recommend starting from 2005 Christopher Ecclestone series, (so Series 1 of the revival), I'd give the first series a go, it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect, sometimes it's very camp and comedic, sometimes it's very dark and some seriously brilliant Sci-Fi! From Series 1, Dalek, Father's Day, and the Empty Child are all amazing imo!

Well, I watched the episodes with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant when I was a kid. I never really watched anything after that. It was kind of like Harry Potter in that it was fun for a bit and then started to take itself too seriously.....

Ahahaha I kind of get it, I tried watching the first few episodes of Doctor Who Classic, and they weren't bad, but I never felt that compelled to keep going compared to the modern series! I did see 'The Five Doctors' though which was fun!
