Hmm, if I had to pick a single type of melee weapon, it'd probably be the Bo Staff. It's a pretty simple weapon but can be used in a lot of creative ways.

The spear is a weapon that is overlooked very often, but it's a wonderful one to have. It was used by any people who had access to sticks and stones because they were simple and efficient, and they deserve repect.
